Delhi, Jaipur, Vadodara, Chennai and Patna airports received hoax bomb threats via email on Tuesday. Additionally, in Jaipur a private college too received a hoax threat email.
Delhi
A Dubai-bound plane which was to take from Delhi received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday, authorities said.
"On Monday, at 9.35 am an email was received in DIAL office, of the IGI Airport with the threat of bomb inside Delhi to Dubai flight," a senior police officer said. No bomb was found when the plane was checked, the officer said, as per PTI.

Last week, several museums in Delhi received bomb threats, which later turned out to be bogus, the police said.
Chennai
The departure of a Dubai-bound flight with 286 passengers from Chennai International Airport was delayed on Tuesday following a hoax bomb threat, police said.
As per PTI, After an email warning about a bomb on the aircraft was received here, security agencies conducted a thorough check of the international flight that was scheduled for departure around 10.30 am on Tuesday, they said.
The inspection revealed that the threat was a hoax and the flight has been cleared to proceed to its destination, they added.
Jaipur
Security agencies on Tuesday jointly conducted a thorough investigation at Jaipur airport after it received a bomb threat. Police and CISF searched the premises after the airport management received a bomb threat via email, reported PTI
"The airport was thoroughly checked but nothing suspicious has been found so far," the police said.
A private college here received a bomb threat over email on Tuesday but nothing suspicious was found during a search, police said.
The email was sent to the SSG Pareek PG College in Shastri Nagar.
Police said the email was sent in the name of "KNR" group that also claimed responsibility for bomb threats given to schools in Delhi last month.
"Efforts are being made to identify and trace the sender," the police added.
Patna
Authorities at the Patna airport on Tuesday received a bomb threat by email, following which a thorough search of the facility was conducted and security beefed up, officials said.
However, the mail turned out to be a hoax, they said.
"A bomb threat through email was received at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport, besides 41 other airports. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) Meeting was convened¿ and it found the threat to be non-specific,¿ Airport Director Anchal Prakash said.
Further follow-up actions are in process, he said.
Vadodara
Security was tightened at Gujarat's Vadodara Airport after a bomb threat email was received by the airport authorities on Tuesday.
RD Chauhan, Inspector at Harni PS, Vadodara, stated that police teams are handling security at the airport due to a bomb threat. Additionally, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squads, Ambulance, and Fire tenders have arrived at the airport.
"Confidential information was received, after which teams of Police have been formed to take care of the security arrangements at the Airport. Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squads, Ambulance, Fire tenders have also reached the airport," Inspector RD Chauhan said.
