Aamir Khan`s apology video resurfaces
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently enjoying the success of the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Animal.' The director has been quite vocal about the backlash his film has received and is leaving no stone unturned in replying to the people who have criticized his action drama. Recently, Vanga took a dig at Aamir Khan's ex-wife Kiran Rao and questioned the lyrics of Mr. Perfectionist's movie 'Dil.' After Vanga's remark, a video of Aamir Khan apologizing for the film's song has resurfaced on the internet, garnering a lot of attention.
In the viral video of Aamir's interview with Aaj Tak, Mr. Perfectionist is seen stating, "Hindi films have not been responsible enough, especially the way we project men and women. When we show something wrong in the films, we also show that the result of it is something positive which is wrong. And we often make the women an âitem' in films. Even the songs are like âtu cheez badi hai mast mast.' And even I am involved in this and I have done such films. âKhambe jaisi khadi hai, ladki hai ya chadi hai.' We are calling women âkhamba' but not humans. I am very ashamed of it."
As soon as this video went viral, a fan questioned Vanga and said, "Look @imvangasandeep #AamirKhan apologized in front of everyone for using 'khambe jaisi khadi' song in Dil...will you ever do the same for showing women as objects in your movies?"
During a recent interview with Dainik Jagran, Sandeep while reacting to Kiran Rao's comment on Kabir Singh said in Hindi, "I would like to say to that woman, go ask Aamir Khan, âKhambe jaisi khadi hai, Ladki hai ya fuljari hai' woh kya tha? What was that? Then come back to me. If you remember Dil, he almost creates the situation towards an attempted rape, and it makes her realise that she was wrong. She ultimately falls in love. What was all that? I don't understand why they attack like that before checking the surroundings.
